Kristin Costa's Latest Collection Inspired by Joan of Arc to Debut at Couture Fashion Week New York
Kristin
Costa is a fashion and costume designer, as well as a wearable artist.
She began her career creating costumes and set designs for films and
Broadway productions through Izquierdo Studios, and has been
Ms. Costa's collections are expansions on a
theme, often visual interpretations of different aspects of a concept.
She deals with psychological, mythological, and iconographic themes,
and this season her collection is based on the legend of Joan of Arc,
her strength and her vulnerability.
The designer will explore aspects of of the celebrated historical
figure as a girl, as a warrior, and as a saint, integrating bridal,
eveningwear, and avante garde designs. The original makeup designs for
the fashion show is by Deivyd Shockk "An

Couture Fashion Week is a multi-day event showcasing couture and luxury fashion. It also includes exhibits of luxury brands and fine art as well as world-class entertainment and receptions.
