Rising Pop Star Dominika Stara Set to Perform at Couture Fashion Week NY

Rising pop star Dominika Stara is set to perform at the next Couture Fashion Week New York. Part of the prestigious event’s 23rd season, Ms. Stara will perform as part of the fashion shows at 8:00 pm on Saturday February 13, and at 6:00 pm on Sunday February 14, 2016. Shows are held in the Broadway Ballroom of the the Crowne Plaza Times Square Manhattan, in the heart of the Big Apple.

In 2009, Dominika Stara beat out thousands of hopefuls and landed a spot on Czechoslovakian Superstar, her country’s version of American Idol. Dominika took first place for the women, third overall and she never looked back. With over 79,000 Facebook fans, Dominika has won the hearts of countless people worldwide. She recently signed a production agreement with Poncini Entertainment, and has recorded and released her debut EP. Her runaway hit Thinking Of You earned her an award for Best R&B Female at the New England Urban Music Awards. Dominika parallels her style of music to an Ipod. “Nobody has just one style of music on their Ipod. I listen to all kinds of music, so my album reflects that,” says Dominika.

Since arriving in the USA, Dominika has been very busy. She has been visiting schools in the New England area speaking to students on the importance of education, and positive influences in relation to pursuing their dreams. Her goal is to inspire the youth to accomplish their goals by instilling the value of staying focused and driven.

At Couture Fashion Week, Dominika will be performing her new single Can’t Buy My Love from her forthcoming EP My Time To Shine on Poncini distributed by VPAL.

Anniesa Hasibuan Returns to Couture Fashion Week with Breathtaking “PearlAsia” Collection

Indonesian design star Anniesa Hasibuan will return to Couture Fashion Week New York with the showing of her latest collection entitled “PearlAsia.” Marking the designer’s second appearance at the prestigious event, the highly-anticipated fashion show will be held at 6:00 pm on Saturday February 13, 2016 in the Broadway Ballroom of the Crowne Plaza Times Square Manhattan, 1605 Broadway, New York City. The show will be opened with a performance by Indonesian singing sensation Natalie Zenn.

Anniesa Hasibuan is a talented young designer based in Jakarta. She has shown her designs at numerous events in the world’s fashion capitals including London, Paris and New York. Her distinctive designs are recognized in the international fashion world as luxurious and elegant Muslim-wear fashion pieces that have a wide appeal.

Anniesa Hasibuan considers Couture Fashion Week New York to be a mandatory part of her agenda, and she believes her participation boosts the advancement of her career on the global fashion stage. As she will be representing designers from Asia (Indonesia) at Couture Fashion Week in New York this season, Ms. Hasibuan’s focus is on a distinctive, elegant and luxurious presentation.

Out of the many unique islands of Indonesia, Anniesa Hasibuan has chosen Lombok as the inspiration for her latest collection. Lombok, besides being well-known for its exquisite natural beauty, is also famous as a leading world producer of pearls. The island’s pearls are known as the “South Sea Pearl.” The pearls of Lombok are very special both in beauty and quality, and the pearl has also been symbol of elegance for centuries. Anniesa Hasibuan’s latest collection, “PearlAsia” can be interpreted as the pearl of Asia / Indonesia. The designs feature a royal theme inspired by the timeless Queen figure in kingdom fairy tales. Graceful silhouettes and soft colored fabrics are combined with a range of pastel colors and make up, accented with a combination of creative veils, or hijabs.

Nepal Art and Culture in the Spotlight at Couture Fashion Week New York

Fashionistas are looking forward to the upcoming season of Couture Fashion Week New York with great anticipation. The multi-day event, now entering its 23rd season, will be held February 12-14, 2016 at the Crowne Plaza Times Square Manhattan, 1605 Broadway, New York City. One of New York Fashion Week’s most prestigious events, CFW presents the latest collections by exceptional designers from around the globe, world-class entertainment, chic after parties and more.

Located at the “Rooftop of the World,” Nepal’s natural beauty is legendary.

This season, Couture Fashion Week is pleased to include a dazzling showcase of art, culture and design from Nepal. The Nepal showcase at Couture Fashion Week New York will include around a dozen prominent companies in such industries as tourism, fabrics, art and handicrafts. Visitors to the event are welcome to stop by the exhibits on Friday February 12 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, and on Saturday and Sunday, February 13 and 14 from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm. “Elysium Fields” is the Latest Inspired Collection by Andres Aquino

Designer Andres Aquino will present his latest collection, entitled “Elysium Fields”, during the upcoming 23rd season of Couture Fashion Week in New York City. The highly-anticipated runway show will be held at 8:00 pm on Saturday February 13, 2016 in the Broadway Ballroom of the Crowne Plaza Times Square Manhattan, in the heart of the city that never sleeps.

“Elysium Fields” is a magical place where the immortal heroic paradise of Greek mythology meets the Champs-Elysees in a blissful confluence of art and fashion. The collection by Mr. Aquino, who is also the founder and producer or Couture Fashion Week, features two sections: mischievous vixens with plenty of sex appeal versus angelic maidens with elegant allure.

The recent season of Couture Fashion Week New York included the presentation of the Global Fashion Avenue Awards for Best Designer and Top Model. Awards were presented by special guests Rita Cosby (Emmy-winning TV and radio host and New York Times bestselling author), Jennifer Eckhart (FOX Business Network) and Mark Jaffe (President of the Greater New York Chamber of Commerce).

Winner Spring 2016: DIANA COUTURE by Diana Putri
Diana Couture presented a breathtaking collection entitled “Garuda” at Couture Fashion Week. The collection was inspired by the Garuda bird, symbol of the official philosophical foundation of the Indonesian state. Ms. Putri’s artistry is focused on the custom bespoke side of couture, catering to the exacting demands of her clients. She is known for her distinctive use of both elegant and daring concepts balanced in couture designs. Diana Putri herself is an A-list designer in Surabaya, Indonesia, and she is now looking to expand to a more global market.

Multi-talented award-winner Farah Zulaikha is a beautiful and accomplished role model. Slovakian designer Renata Kliska will present the latest creations for her La Rena label at the 22nd season of Couture Fashion Week New York. Marking the designer’s first showing at the prestigious New York Fashion Week event, the runway show will be held at 4:00 pm on Sunday September 13, 2015 at the Crowne Plaza Times Square Manhattan.

The La Rena brand is known for using the most luxurious and exclusive fabrics including French lace, embroidered tulle and cashmere, as well as natural chinchilla, sable, mink and fox. Renata Kliska’s designs often feature daring and unexpected combinations of materials, and are characterized by a unique timeless elegance.

Teresita Rodriguez Tanon to Show Accessories Collection at Couture Fashion Week

Galeria de Modelos will present the latest accessories collection by designer Teresita Rodriguez Tanon entitled “Kobiet” (“Woman of the Kingdom”). Part of the 22nd season of Couture Fashion Week New York, the runway show will be held at 4:00 pm on Sunday September 13, 2015 at the Crowne Plaza Times Square Manhattan, in the heart of the Big Apple.

Based in Puerto Rico, Ms. Rodriguez graduated from the island’s Institute of Fashion Merchandising and has over 20 years of fashion and accessories design experience. She has worked as a designer with K-Love Fashion and has over a decade of experience designing for numerous celebrities and beauty queens in Puerto Rico. Ms. Rodriguez’s creations for both men and women, are beautiful, elegant and unique, inspired by her devotion to God. She has presented her designs at many fashion events including Puerto Rico South Fashion Week and the Gotitas de Amor por Haiti benefit show. Ms. Rodriguez is currently working to expand her market reach to New York and California.

Jossie Medina to show “Dragonfly” Collection at Couture Fashion Week

Designer Jossie Medina will present her latest collection entitled “Dragonfly” during the 22nd season of Couture Fashion Week New York. Marking the designer’s first showing at the prestigious event, the fashion show will be held at 4:00 pm on Sunday September 13, 2015 in the Broadway Ballroom of the Crowne Plaza Times Square Manhattan.

Puerto Rico-based designer Jossie Medina launched her design career in the 1990’s. At the young age of 18, she already showed abundant talent and skill in creating highly feminine and elegant designs. Today she designs for women, men, juniors and children. Ms. Medina has studied fashion design and marketing, and holds a bachelor’s degree in secondary education with a minor in mass media communications.

“Nostalgia” is the Latest Inspired Collection by Designer Evgenia Luzhina

Couture fashion designer Evgenia Luzhina will present her latest collection entitled “Nostalgia” during the upcoming Couture Fashion Week New York. A returning favorite designer at the event, Ms. Luzhina’s fashion show will be held at 4:00 pm on Saturday September 12, 2015 at the Crowne Plaza Times Square Manhattan. The show will include live music by award-winning musician and composer Serge Khrichenko.

A native of Moscow, Evgenia Luzhina received a B.A. in Fine Art and Design from Moscow Art College. She served as Resident Set and Costume Designer for the Moscow Chamber Forms Theater. While there, she designed numerous productions which were staged in Moscow, Los Angeles and Washington DC. In 1991 Ms. Luzhina moved to the USA where she continues to exhibit her extensive experience in Art and Theatrical Set and Costume Design. She has been a costume designer for more than 30 years, working for different theaters in Russia and Unites States where she has created costumes for more than 50 plays.

Ms. Luzhina’s designs have won critical acclaim in both local and national newspapers, on radio and television. Her most recent accolades were Maryland Fashion Awards 2012: High Fashion Designer – Winner, The Helen Hayes Award 2010: Outstanding Production for Youth – Winner, and The National Silver Archer Award in Public Relations 2014 – Winner.
